Hi everybody! I’m long overdue for an update, so I’m going to try and make up for it right now!

Skastumes attended Indiana Comic Con, March 14-16, at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis. We had a blast seeing so many awesomely geeky people! It was a very busy weekend for us, but we wouldn’t trade that for the world! Thank you to everyone who stopped by to talk costumes with us! WE LOVE YOU!

Skastumes has some new shows lined up in the future we will be going to. Here’s a convention update!

Indy Pop Con, May 30th-June 1st, Indianapolis, IN

Matsuri Con August 22nd-24th, Columbus, OH

Cincinnati Comic Expo September 19th-21st, Cincinnati, OH

Crystal Fair October 17th-19th, St. Louis, MO

Hopefully more will be added to the list. :)

Hi everybody-

My voicemail is currently broken somehow, so if you called any time recently within the past week or two, please send email! Not sure why it won’t work yet, but I’m very sorry for this. >.<

We just received our approval for an Artist’s Alley table at this year’s Anime Central convention in Rosemont, IL! YATTA!

Keep an eye on the store, we will be developing some new items in the next few weeks (we’re on Winter break, but not really, lol).

Hello everyone! I think I’m long overdue for an update (I’m a bad panda >.<)! I’ve been very busy these last few months, lots of school and costume work!

I went to C2E2 and had a wonderful time. I had a couple of projects I worked on for people that were in attendance.

I made an Arkham Asylum Harley Quinn costume for my good friend “Spaced”; you can find her on the Nerd Girls’ Eye View podcast on www.comicrelated.com!

I also did Finn’s backpack from Adventure Time for a customer! I must admit, I was a little sad I had to hand it over, I really wanted to keep it, lol! I managed to snag a couple of pictures of it at the con before it had to be off on an adventure.

I’ll post more projects soon! Don’t forget to email us if you need costume work done! Con season is upon us!

Hello everybody! I’m “Ska”, and welcome to my AWESOME new cosplay commission site, Skastumes!

I’m so excited to finally have a piece of the internet to call my own so I can make costumes for all of the AMAZING cosplay fans there are out there!

Now, for a bit of a history lesson on me! My real name isn’t Ska, but it’s a nickname I’ve come to enjoy. I started cosplaying in 2007 when a friend of mine clued me in to it. ┬áMy first anime convention was Anime Central 2007, and it was the most awesome culture shock I’ve ever received. Everywhere I looked, there were people in costume, and it was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. I was so inspired by the community and I grew to have a strong passion for the hobby. A few years later, I’m at the Art Institute of Indianapolis for a degree in Fashion Design. I’m currently enrolled there and I love every minute of it!

Now, to show off a bit of what I’ve done….

Blair from Soul Eater

Moka Akashiya from Rosario+Vampire

Fujimoto from Ponyo

Iron Fist (right) from Marvel Comics

Team Rocket Grunt from Pokemon

I commission cuteness as well! :)

Ditto Pokemon Plushy!!!

So that’s a bit about me! Now, as for what you can expect from my future posts here:

  • website updates
  • new costumes I’ve done
  • cosplay tips/tricks/advice
  • conventions I’ll be at

Hope you enjoyed my first post, and I hope you let me make you look awesome for your next convention!
